Sub:     West Bengal Junior State Badminton Championship (U-17 & U-19 Years Age Group) to be held in the Indoor Hall of Star Badminton Association, Harinavi, Kolkata from 17th July to 22nd July, 2025

Dear Sir,

 

We are pleased to inform you that “West Bengal Junior State Badminton Championship (U-17 & U-19 Years Age Group)” will be held from 17th July to 22nd July, 2025 in the Indoor Hall of Star Badminton Academy, Harinavi, Kolkata Organised  by West Bengal Badminton Association.

 

You are requested to send the entries to WBBA through Online Entry Portal only of the Registered Players of your District on or before Wednesday the 9th July, 2025.  No Offline entries will be accepted.

The Entry Fees of Rs. 1000/- for Singles & Rs. 2000/- for Doubles may be transferred through online to “West Bengal Badminton Association”, A/c. No.33016869887, IFSC Code No. SBIN0007679, Bank Name : State Bank of India, New Garia (Srinagar) Branch OR by A/c. payee cheque / DD in the name of  “West Bengal Badminton Association” OR cash may be deposited in the office of WBBA from 12 Noon to 5 P.M. (Working days only). Entry fees to be deposited by Affiliated Units only.

Please note the following:

 

1)        Players who have not paid Administrative Fees for non-participation / withdrawal from All India Ranking Tournaments as well as for non-participation in WBBA Tournaments, no entry for such Players will be accepted for WBBA Tournaments as well as for All India Ranking Tournaments.

2)        If any player deposits the entry fees directly to WBBA A/c, the same will not be considered and forfeited.

3)        The tournament will be conducted as per BAI/WBBA rules.

4)        An event with less than six (6) entries will be cancelled.

5)        In the event of any dispute during the Championship, the decision of the Tournament Referee will be final.

6)        Code of conduct will be strictly followed.

7)        Last Date of Withdrawal:  Thursday the 10th July, 2025.

8)        A player cannot participate in more than Two (2) Events.

9)        As per existing norms, Players of the State must have participated in 50% of State Ranking Tournament and in default the concerned Player shall not be eligible to participate in State Championship. If a player participated in any event in Ranking Tournaments, he / she will be eligible to participate in the State Championship.

 

10)      If a Player is shown “Red Card” in any match, he/she would have to pay Rs.500/= for each ‘Red Card’ shown, before participating in the next Tournament, in default of which, the Player shall not be eligible to play therein.

11)      Any player/pair shown “Black Card” by the Umpire in any match, shall be disqualified from participating in all subsequent matches so entered in the Tournament and shall not be permitted to be present in any part of the Venue. A Player/Pair shown “Black Card” shall have to pay minimum amount of Rs.1,000/= forthwith. In addition, on receipt of a Report of a Black Card, necessary Disciplinary Proceeding may be initiated by the Disciplinary Committee based on the gravity of misconduct. Such Player/Pair shall not be eligible to play in any subsequent Tournament unless exonerated by the Disciplinary Committee.

12)        The Fee for lodging any ‘Protest’ of any kind arising out of or related to any Match of a Tournament shall be non-refundable amount of Rs.2,000/=.   Protest must be in writing addressed to the Referee and lodged within “one hour” after completion of the Match accompanied with the ‘Protest Fee’. No Protest beyond the time limit and devoid of deposit of the ‘Protest Fee’ shall be entertained. Either the Referee would resolve the issue on the spot and if incapable or unable to do so, forward the same to the Association for necessary redress.

13)      You are requested not to send the entries who are not eligible for participation in the above Championship, otherwise Entry Fees will be forfeited.

 

14)    Yonex/Sunrise being our equipment Sponsor, no other Sports Manufacturing Company will be allowed to display banners or put up stall in the hall and also within 200 Mtr. of the venue.

 

15)    Fixture will be drawn at the venue on 16th July, 2025 in presence of Players and Organisers.
