Sub: Important decisions taken in the Council Meeting dated 24th January, 2020
Dear Sirs,
Please note following important decisions were taken in the Council Meeting dated 24th January, 2020:
1) Draft Accounts for the year 2018-19 and Draft Annual Report were placed and approved. President was authorised to fix the date and venue for the Annual General Meeting in consultation with Hony. General Secretary.
2) The vacancy of Sri Goutam Goswami as Vice President was filled up unanimously by selection of Sri Kajal Saha to hold office of Vice President till next Annual General Meeting. As Sri Kajal Saha being elected as Vice President, the office of the Assistant Secretary which he was holding stood vacant calling for being filled up. Sri Dipak Nandi was elected as “Assistant Secretary” as proposed by Sri Puspendu Dutta from Central Calcutta Badminton Association to hold office of “Assistant Secretary” till next Annual General Meeting.
3) The Road Map of Coaching Camp of selected players for U-9/11/13/15 age groups selected in the Coaching Camp held at Raiganj from 1st to 4th November, 2019 will be discussed and decided by the Coaching Committee and Finance Committee.
4) The Road Map of Coaching Camps for Doubles Players as recommended by Junior Selection Committee will be decided by Coaching Committee and Finance Committee.
5) Considering that current Coaches are employed in various Organisations and do not get leave for attending Coaching Camps for Nationals and East Zone Championship as well as players are practising in different Camps of the State and outside the States, many of them seek release for attending the Coaching Camps. Moreover, back to back National Level Tournaments becomes a problem for players to attend the Coaching Camps.
In view of the above, it was decided that at least 1/2 days Camp of the selected State Players prior to East Zone and Nationals will be held under the supervision of Selectors and the selected Coaches for the concerned Nationals and East Zone Championship. If any player(s) found unfit, the Selectors will be empowered to replace from the next ranked player(s).
6) Sri Pranab Bhattacharjee was selected in the Tournament Committee in the vacancy created by resignation of Sri Anirban Mukherjee.
7) It was decided that Sri Soumyadeep Chakraborty (Deaf) who has become Champion (Under 16 Years) in the VII National Deaf Junior & Sub-Junior Sports Championship held at Kozhikode from 27th December to 30th December, 2019 will be given incentive as per norms of WBBA.
