Sub:    Missing Entries by Affiliated Members

Dear All,

Please refer to our circular dated 20^th February, 2026 vide which we have forwarded important decisions taken in the WBBA Council on 17^th February, 2026.

Please note that Sl. No. 2 of the Circular mentions as under:

“If despite a Player furnishing all particulars and requisite “Entry Fee” for any WBBA Tournament/Championship, the concerned affiliated Member fails or neglects to forward the same to WBBA within the timeline, the said affiliate Member shall have to pay “penalty of Rs.1,000/=for every Singles Entry and Rs.2,000/= for every Doubles’ Entry to WBBA, in addition to the actual Entry Fees to be given to the Organizer AND to assist the concerned affected Player, WBBA shall at least four (4) days before every Tournament/Championships, upload the “List of Entries”of the intending participating Players received from the affiliated Members, in its Website. AND the concerned Player whose name would be ‘missing’ from the List shall have opportunity to approach directly to WBBA with “proof of deposits” with the affiliated Member, within 24 hours of the published List”

It has been noticed that for the forthcoming U-9 & U-11 years Age Group (Talent Hunt) Badminton Tournament at Kalimpong, one of our affiliated members has sent the entry fees to Kalimpong DBA and the fine to WBBA A/c. and sent a mail to us.  This is not acceptable.

We would request you to please follow the system as decided in the Council and circulated.  Please appreciate that after closure of online entry, we had to introduce the above system to facilitate players only so that they do not suffer without their fault.  If any of the Affiliated Members send the money to WBBA A/c. without permission same will be forfeited.

Please also note that the list of players for whom entries have been received through online will be available in the “EVENTS” column of WBBA website highlighting “LIST OF ENTRIES”.  Player/s whose entries will not be found despite forwarding the same to affiliated members in time, should approach WBBA giving the proof with copy to concerned Affiliated Unit.
