Sub: Important decisions taken in the Finance Committee Meeting held
on 13th March, 2026
Dear All,
Please note
that following important decisions have been taken in the Finance Committee Meeting
held on 13th March, 2026:
1) Rs. 2000/- L/S as DA will be paid to the
representative of Affiliated Members (above 150 Km.) for collecting
Shuttlecocks, Banners, Certificates & Medal etc. from WBBA Office for
conducting Tournaments.
2) Prize Money for Badminton League
finalised minimum Rs. 2,00,000/- to be divided as under:
WINNER TEAM = RS. 80,000/-
RUNNER-UP
TEAM = RS.
50,000/-
TWO
SEMI FINALISTS TEAM= RS. 35,000/-
EACH
The
League will be amongst players from the respective Districts and the Team will
comprise of :
5 Men = Two
(2) from Seniors, One (1) from U-19, One (1) from U-17 &
One from
U-15
5 Women = Two
(2) from Seniors, One (1) from U-19, One (1) from U-17 &
One (1) from
U-15
One (1) Coach & One (1) Manager
In any case Team members will not exceed Twelve (12) including 10 Players + 1 Coach + 1 Manager. The other details will be finalised by the Tournament Committee.
3) Out of Pocket allowance of Rs. 500/- per day for the No. of
days of the Tournament + 1 day extra to be given to the selected Coaches &
Managers of the Bengal Team was approved.
However, Chairman mentioned that many a times, Bengal team/players leave
early when the Team / individual player loses.
In that case, the number of days will be calculated on the basis of
actual days spent for the Nationals & Zonal Championship and payment will
be made accordingly.
4) For attending AGM L/S DA to members (1 member from each
Affiliated Unit) above 150 Km. increased to Rs. 3500/- from Rs. 2500/- as of
date. However, if WBBA arrange
accommodation and Fooding then in that case no DA will be paid.
For attending Council / Sub – Committees meetings, L/S DA
of Rs. 2000/- will be paid instead of Rs. 1500/- as at present above 150 Km.
It may be noted that WBBA is reimbursing AC 3 tier Train
Fare / AC Bus Fare to Affiliated Members (1 person) for attending AGM and
attending Council & Sub – committees meetings (above 150 Km.). Members staying below 150 Km. can claim Rs.
500/- as Conveyance expenses as was decided earlier for attending Council / Sub
– Committees meetings.
5) At present financial incentives to players winning laurels at
National Level are as under:
Gold Medal
for National Rankings/Championships = Rs. 20,000/-
Silver
Medal for National Rankings/Championships = Rs. 15,000/-
Bronze
Medal for National Rankings / Championships = Rs. 10,000/-
Players winning Medals in Doubles will also get same and the amount will be divided as 50% to each. However, Players winning Doubles Medal partnering a Player from other State, he/she will receive 50% of the amount.
It was
decided that for Winning Medals in International Level above financial
incentive will also apply. However, no
financial incentive will be given for getting only chance in the Indian
Badminton Team.
