Badminton Tournament to be held at P. L. Roy Indoor Stadium, Sealdah from 31st
August to 3rd September, 2021

Dear Sirs,
You are
aware that after long suspension due to pandemic Covid 19, Tournaments are
slated to recommence in phased manner and that “West Bengal Senior State
Ranking Badminton Tournament” has been scheduled to be held at P. L. Roy Indoor
Stadium, Sealdah from 31st August to 3rd
September, 2021.
You are also aware that WBBA has since
introduced “Entries through Online Portal”. Being the first ‘Online portal
Entries’, you are requested to send the entries preferably through Online Entry
Portal along with entry fees to The Hony. General Secretary, WBBA of the
Registered Players of your District with ID No. on or before Wednesday the 25th August, 2021 (before 5 P.M.).
While this being
the first tournament where entries are being accepted through Online Portal, entry
through Offline will also be accepted as per earlier prevailing procedure.
However, please note that in all subsequent Tournaments, no Offline Entries
would be accepted under any plea or circumstance.
The Entry Fees will be Rs. 600/-
for Singles & Rs. 1000/- for Doubles.Entry Fees be transferred through Online to
‘West Bengal Badminton Association, A/C. No. 33016869887, IFSC Code: SBIN0007679,
Bank Name: State Bank of India, New Garia Branch OR by A/c. payee Cheque/DD
in the name of “WEST BENGAL BADMINTON ASSOCIATION”deposited within the specified time frame.
Following Events will be organised:
1) MEN’S SINGLES
2) WOMEN’S SINGLES
3) MEN’S DOUBLES
4) WOMEN’S DOUBLES
5) MIXED DOUBLES
Jr. Players
born on or before 31st December, 2004 will also be eligible to
participate in the Tournament.

In terms of the Authoritative
Guidelines, following precautionary processes shall have to be strictly followed
without any deviation and co-operations and support from everyone is sincerely
solicited:
1) All players, Technical Officials and the named Committee Members of the Organisers including WBBA personnel, who would be required to be present in the arena of the Tournament as also the nominated permitted Coaches of the participating Players must compulsorily produce either “Double Vaccination Certificates” or “RT-PCR Negative Test Reports” conducted not prior to 72 hours from the start of the Tournament at the “Entry Gate”. Irrespective of there being accepted Entries, failure to ensure compliance of the above by any Player shall debar entry in the Arena of the Tournament and/or participation. Appointed Security Personnel posted at the Gate are to be satisfied with Vaccination Certificates/RT-PCR Negative Test Reports as well as Photo Identity Cards of everyone, before permitting entry to the arena of the Tournament. No one without proper “Mask” would be allowed Entry.
2) A participating Player may be allowed to have only One Coach to enter in the arena of the Tournament, subject to however, the name of the Coach must be notified in writing to the Referee before commencement of the Tournament. No sooner the Match of a Player is over, he/she along with nominated Coach would have to leave the arena of the Tournament without least delay. No ‘handshaking’ or ‘embracing’ would be permissible. Any default of the above or any part, may debar further participation in the Tournament.
3) Districts should send the Double Vaccination Certificates of their players participating in the Tournament in advance for due verification.
4) No spectator in any form or Guardian of any Player shall be permitted entry or access to the arena of the Tournament.
5)
Other Covid guidelines of State Govt. & Central Govt. will also be strictly implemented.
Please also note the following:
1) The Tournament Committee reserves the
right to refuse any entry if incomplete.
2) An event with less than Six (6)
entries will be cancelled
3) The Tournament will be conducted as
per BAI/WBBA rules.
4) Code of conduct will be strictly
followed.
5) In the event of any withdrawal or non
participation by a player in any Tournament after draw is finalised and
notified, the concerned player shall be compulsively required to pay Rs.750/-
to the Association before participating in the next tournament/Championship.
It may
please be noted that earlier non-participation dues given in our website should
be cleared before the last date of entry of this Tournament. Entry will not be accepted if the dues are
not cleared.

Sr. State Ranking Badminton Tournament to be held at P. L. Roy Indoor Stadium,
Sealdah from 31st August to 3rd September, 2021. All Athletes / Officials / Vendors have to
participate on their own risk.
