MINUTES OF THE JUNIOR SELECTION COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 9TH OCTOBER, 2023 AT 3 P.M. AT THE GENERAL SECRETARY’S OFFICE AT “TITLI”, 57, GARIA STATION ROAD, KOLKATA – 700084

Sri Puspendu Dutta, Jt. Secretary mentioned that this year Under-11 Mini National Championship will have Doubles events also. As such, WBBA had declared Under-11 Doubles in the U-9/11 Years Age Group State Championship held at Hooghly from 28th September to 30th September, 2023. Under-11 Years Age Group Singles event will be selected from last Two (2) Tournaments and the State Championship and U-11 Doubles players will be selected from the State Championship only.
Sri Puspendu Dutta, Jt. Secretary presented the Ranking details and other related papers considering Two (2) U-9/11 Years Age Group Tournaments and the recently held State Championship. After detailed discussions the Mini National (U-11 Years Age Group) Bengal Team for the year 2023 for the forthcoming Mini National Badminton Championship (U-11 Years Age Group) to be held at Star Badminton Academy, Harinavi, Kolkata were selected.
This year WBBA is conducting Mini National Badminton Championship (U-11 Yrs. Age Group) at “Star Badminton Academy”, Harinavi, Kolkata from 15th to 18th November, 2023. As per regulations, in singles event WBBA will get Two (2) additional entries and in pared events WBBA will get One (1) entry.

Atri Dolui & Sambit Khanra of Howrah and Ishan Paul & Nishan Malakar of Howrah and Dakshin Dinajpur are having same points – 32. A selection trial will have to be conducted to select the Reserve Pair.
U-11 YEARS AGE GROUP GIRLS SINGLES EVENT
In this event also WBBA will get Two (2) entries as per norms and Two (2) entries as Host Quota. Pragati Pradhan & Magashree Dey are having same point – 88. Since WBBA is getting Four (4) Enries (2 as per norms and 2 as per Host Quota), following Four (4) players were selected
